As the story goes, last September, Mews Restaurant invited Heron & Grey from Dublin, to West Cork, to discover what makes the region such a special food destination.
It’s long been known there’s something in the water in Cork, the latest edition of the Michelin Guide adding 3 stars to the Munster landscape in Mews Restaurant, Chestnut and Ichigo Ichie respectively.
In the time since, Heron & Grey have parted company, their Blackrock-based eatery reopening as Liath for the spring season.
Yesterday, STORIcreative published a behind the scenes look at that September visit and what happened when Heron & Grey created and served an extraordinary once-off tasting menu at Mews using West Cork ingredients.
Heron & Grey x Mews Restaurant
Mews Restaurant re-opens on 1 March for the new season. Heron & Grey – now Liath – the same.
It’s a great country really.
