A Kilkenny Mexican restaurant and takeaway is in the running for the 2024 edition of the annual Just Eat awards.
Namo, with their main restaurant on Kilkenny‘s James’ Street, have been included in the Best Mexican category as this year’s awards, the 11th outing celebrating the best of Just Eat partner restaurants around Ireland. However, it’s their recently opened Clonmel branch that takes the nod on this occasion.
Caffe500, which opened in the past year on The Parade in Kilkenny, also has a nomination for Best Pizza for their sister and original restaurant on Kennedy Street in Carlow.
Over 80 nominees have been shortlisted for this year’s awards, across ten categories in all. Those include Best Pizza, Best Indian, Best Chipper, Best Lunch, Best Breakfast, Best Burger & American, Best Chain, Best Asian, Best Middle Eastern and the aforementioned Best Mexican.
The most coveted award of the programme is the overall Best of Ireland title, this year bringing with it a €50,000 package for media support
In addition to winning the most coveted award, the winner of Best of Ireland this year will receive a very special prize. Just Eat is demonstrating its support for its restaurant partners, which are a driving force of the business by awarding €50,000 worth of media value to the winner which, according to organisers will give the overall winner a ‘chance to reach a much bigger audience and build their business even further this year’.
