Podcast #004: Rory Nolan, head chef, Anocht Restaurant Kilkenny

One of the stars of the Kilkenny restaurant scene is in the hot seat for this week's chat.

Rory Nolan of Anocht Restaurant in Kilkenny is my guest this week for the Ken On Food podcast.

As it turns out, we weren’t too far apart in school – went to college at the same time, worked away from home, came back to set up roots in Kilkenny.

Rory’s journey has taken him through the Michelin-starred Chapter One, Campagne, and for the past four years, Anocht in the heart of Kilkenny.

Take a listen below to his story, find out what makes him tick, what he looks for in suppliers and ingredients and what comes next.

Through my involvement with the Savour Kilkenny Food Festival this year I’ll be catching up with Rory again in a few weeks time for a “part two” chat, so enjoy this first one.

Next week you can here from organic veg farmer Vincent Grace, all about the Enniscorthy Rockin’ Food Festival, and the Food Provenance Award on off at this year’s Savour festival in Kilkenny.

Tell me your story – email ken@kenonfood.com and let’s set something up.
