2020 is upon us – happy new year!
As is tradition around these parts, I’m making a list, checking it twice, then popping it into Microsoft Excel or my diary and see what I can hit for the year ahead.
I’m talking of course about the list of Irish food events and festivals for 2020, usually the most visited page on the blog.
Given it’s only the start of the year there are plenty of blanks and TBCs to fill but there’s also plenty confirmed.
What’s in the 2020 diary?
We know that Food On The Edge and Savour Kilkenny will be back, Bloom and Taste of Dublin are always there. The Tralee Food Festival and Riverfest (Limerick) make a return for 2020 along with the Enniscorthy Rockin’ Food Festival and The Big Grill.
The Carlingford Oyster Festival, Taste of Cavan, a Taste of Donegal, Cong Food Village and loads more will all return, though dates are yet to be confirmed.
How do I get on the 2020 list?
That’s the easy part. Whether you’re running PR for a festival, on the committee for a weekender or running an event by yourself, the door is open.
To submit your details you can
- Drop me an email here, it’s [email protected]
- Tweet me or fire me a DM on Twitter
- Send a message to Ken On Food on Facebook
While it’s not a requirement, if you’ve got an event that’s coming up soon, don’t be surprised if you’re asked to have a chat about it for the radio show or podcast.
Take a look at the list as it stands to see what’s happening in 2020.
