The Festival of Irish Whiskey gets underway today.
Billed as ‘a celebration of the culture and rich heritage of Irish Whiskey’, the idea is to offer visitors a chance to explore the places, meet the people and experience the processes behind the making of Irish whiskey.
It all kicks off today (Thursday) and wraps up on Sunday with around 40 events happening right across the country.

This weekend you can avail of free or (at least) discounted tours, open days, tasting events, cooperage demonstrations and more.
