Biabeag’s long-running series of events return in Kilkenny this month with another take on fermentation.

Keith Bohanna (biabeag) and Julie Calder-Potts have been running ‘meet the maker’ events for a few years now in the former hop store on site at Highbank Orchards.

Savour Kilkenny teases online return with virtual programme of events through November & December

For 2020, they’re beginning with their third event around fermentation with three guest speakers on the night,

Limerick-based dairy farmer Tom Stack is on board to discuss the role of fermentation in the regeneration of his soil and in the care of his animals. Expect Korean Natural Farming to come up in conversation.

Joining Tom on stage is Ronan Coughlan, head brewer for Offaly’s KO Kombucha, and Terri Ann Fox who runs fermentation workshops in Wicklow.

Kick off is 6.30pm on Saturday 25 January.

Tickets, which cover travel and expenses for speakers, are just €9 for the night.
