We’re heading into unchartered waters as the country prepares to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic.
With an eye on food festivals and events, the West Waterford Festival of Food becomes the first casualty
“It is with great regret that we have taken the decision to cancel this year’s West Waterford Festival of Food. In light of the developing Covid-19 situation, the health and safety of our community, guests and visitors is paramount.
We hugely regret not being able to welcome you all to our beautiful region but look forward to seeing you in the near future.
Also please remember to support your local businesses and buy local in this difficult time.”
With Waterford having scooped the Foodie Destinations crown for 2019/20 and the amount of planning that goes into the annual showcase in Dungarvan, it is disappointing to see but an unfortunate casualty as Ireland braces itself for a raft of adjustments to public life.
If you’re planning, or were planning, a food event or festival for 2020 and it’s being postponed or cancelled outright, drop me an email, or check the list of festivals for updates.
