If you’re on the hunt for something to do in Ireland this year on the food festival front, then I’ve got a busy calendar for you that’s worth a look.
In the blink of an eye, we’re already six weeks into the year, cruising to the middle of February. We’ve already had the Michelin Guide reveal for 2024 and in the past week we’ve seen the New Zealand Wine Fair take place in Dublin along with the National Commis Chef Apprenticeship Skills competition in Kerry.
Tastings aside, next week sees Kinsale Restaurant Week underway for 2024 with Asia Market’s Feast of Food Trucks bound for Dublin while the end of the month brings up the South East Whiskey Festival in Wexford. Planning through the spring, you’ve got the (now almost sold-out) Dublin Coffee Festival, the Love Your Food Show in Belfast, West Waterford Festival of Food and more.
The year does get much busier into the summer months so if you’re on foreign shores and planning an Irish visit, or if you’re sitting at home reading this and looking for a weekend drive when you’ve next got a few days off, then take a look at the Irish food events and festivals calendar and see if there’s something that tickles your fancy.
Better yet, if you’re planning a food event big or small, and you want a spot on the calendar (it’s the biggest point on the blog for traffic week in, week out), then get your details in an email to ken@kenonfood.com. Simple as that. Come say hi.
Beyond that, start marking your diary!
