Cooking for three: Happy new year!

We're out the gap for 2019, and 2020 is going to be one hell of a year...

Ladies and gentlemen, 2019 is in the bag and it’s time to start planning for 2020.

For me, on the food front, that now includes cooking for three as our daughter landed safe and sound in November after a genuine rollercoaster of a year.

Granted, it’ll be a while before I actually start to cook for her (Mrs. Ken On Food is taking care of that for the moment), but it’s something I’m looking forward to for this year.

Looking back on 2019, it’s been a great year on the food front for me with loads of new connections, conversations, books on the shelves (more of which I need to review), dining experiences and a real rekindling of my love of all things food.

The podcast series (returning with another bank of episodes in the next fortnight) has been a joy, so too in bringing a lot of food to the radio this year.

As for 2020, I’ve no idea what’s in store, and that’s the exciting part.

I’ll be updating the list of festivals and events for the year shortly so if you’ve got something to add, pop a comment below or drop an email to me here with your details.

I do know I’ve a few pre-Christmas drafts to pop out as well and the 4am feed shift seems to be suiting me this weather to getting some new writing done.

Wherever you are in the world, whatever you’re up to, I hope your 2020 turns out to be as good as the tail end of 2019 has been to me.

Oh, and if you’ve got a story to share, news to drop, or you’re up for a chat in 2020, tweet me or pop a mail to ken@kenonfood.com.

Happy New Year to you and yours!
