Kitty Colchester of Second Nature Oils, Kilkenny, is the guest for episode 10 of the Ken On Food podcast.
In the time since introducing the Ken On Food podcast online and the subsequent feature on air, there’s traction building and I’m now starting to book a few weeks and months ahead, particularly as we close in on the tail end of 2019.
If you’ve got a story you would like to share, if you’re bringing a new product to market or you’re just mad to talk about food, then I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a mail, tweet me, find me on Instagram, whatever your poison, let’s talk.
Second Nature Oils
This week is a break from the restaurants and instead I’m joined on the phone for a chat with Kitty Colchester of Second Nature Oils.
Note that the audio is phone quality on the other end of the interview but we’ll get Kitty in studio down the line or pay a visit to the farm in a few months for a proper catch up.
Drumeen Farm, where Second Nature Oils is based, is a real family affair and is one of Ireland’s oldest certified organic farms and rapeseed oil producers. They grow, cold press and bottle their own organic – Bee Friendly – rapeseed oil with a big eye on the export market.
I’ll let Kitty do the explaining.
You can find her website online at secondnatureoils.com with a full list of stockists available online or you can email Kitty and the team direct to info@secondnatureoils.com
Next week I’ve got Morgan Ging of the award-winning Ballykeefe Distillery in studio to talk all things spirits, farming and supporting his local community.
If you like the podcasts, leave a review wherever you get yours or better still, if you would like to be part of the conversation, wherever in the world you are – email me – it’s ken@kenonfood.com. If it’s your first time listening, subscribe, there’s plenty more on the way.
