The Pink Box, Kilkenny

If you’re looking for a weekend treat in Kilkenny, and can’t decide on whether it needs to be sweet or savoury, then The Pink Box have a little something up their sleeve you might like.

Unveiled on KCLR on Saturday, The Pink Box, a most delightful artisan bakery adjacent to Rothe House on Kilkenny’s Parliament Street, have teamed up with food consultant Tracie Daly (once upon a time of the Two Dames on John Street) to create a luxury six-pastry box that will open for orders this week. Run by husband and wife team Ricardo and Adriana, The Pink Box finally got to open its doors this past April, bringing with it a wealth of pastry creations rarely seen in Kilkenny before. If you’ve been following their Instagram account, you’ll know what I mean.

  • Double Irish farmhouse cheese and streaky bacon cruffin
  • Tortilla brioche with aioli – layers of Irish spud

all designed to celebrate Irish flavours.

Orders are available now here, while stocks last, with collection set for 9.30am – 11am on Sunday 15 September. All in, you’re looking at €32.50 and I’ve already got mine placed.
