The ‘pint cat’ is back, according to the folks at Sullivan’s Taproom on John Street in Kilkenny.
They’ve announced the return of the Kilkenny Beer Festival for the weekend of 16-17 May at their John Street venue, turning their taps over to a number of Irish and visiting brewers for the weekend.
For the first time, the festival welcomes McGill’s Brewery (Waterville, Co. Kerry), Rascals Brewing (Dublin), Killarney Brewing & Distilling, Crew Brewing Co. (Limerick) and Edinburgh-based Vault City Brewing.
There’s also a welcome return for Third Barrel Brewing, Lineman Beer (both Dublin), O’Hara’s (Carlow), O Brother Brewing, Wicklow Wolf (both Wicklow) and Eight Degrees (Cork).
There’ll be DJs and live music across the weekend, with events over 18s only. No bookings are required.
Friday kicks off at 5pm with Saturday’s slate running from 12pm onwards.
Try the pizza while you’re there sipping pints, well worth it.
