Where once Kilkenny had a single burrito bar, now there are three as Waterford’s Chingón Badass Burritos make themselves known on Ormonde Street.

With Namo thriving on James’ Street (and expanding operations to neighbouring counties) and a Saburrito unit opening recently on Kieran Street (where Face2 / Higgs Field resided once upon a time), Chingón will be the latest addition to Kilkenny’s bustling food scene, making a home for themselves in the unit previously occupied by The Truffle Fairy (who are still in Thomastown).

The street itself has had a real injection of food in recent weeks following the launch of Ember at Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel and the arrival of Bovine from Portlaoise who are making a name for themselves with some monster smash burgers on the go.

With doors set to open at 12pm at 5 Ormonde Street on Monday, there’s a special opening-day offer too of a Burrito and a drink (can/water) for €9.99.
